A Home for the Holidays
Home represents something special during the holidays. The feeling of joy, comfort, and belonging. But for many of our neighbors, this sense of peace feels out of reach. This season, you can help change that.
Erin's Story: Finding Home for the Holidays
Last December, just a few days before Christmas, Erin’s two boys ran toward Santa with the biggest smiles. They joined dozens of other children staying at our Family Center that night, laughing, playing, and enjoying the magic of the moment. For those few minutes, they weren’t kids navigating homelessness. They were simply kids.
Erin later shared that it was the first time in months she felt like she could relax and that things were going to be okay. Her boys were safe. They were happy. Most importantly, they felt a sense of home.
And that moment was possible because of people like you.
Erin’s family has worked so hard to find stability. Because of your support, they’ve celebrated holidays with us, started school with new backpacks, enjoyed after-school programs, got to go on spring outings, and was able to enjoy all the normal things every child deserves.

Why Your Help Matters Right Now
As the holidays get closer, more families are coming to us looking for the one thing we all hope for this time of year—a sense of home. With rising need and fewer resources, many parents are simply trying to give their children a safe, comforting place to land. Your support helps us create that feeling of warmth and belonging when families need it most.
About Us
At Catholic Charities of Northwest California, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home, a warm meal, and the chance to build a brighter future. Every day, we walk alongside our most vulnerable neighbors—families facing homelessness, seniors struggling with isolation, and immigrants seeking stability—offering the support they need to regain their footing. With your help, we provide shelter, food, legal aid, and housing assistance, ensuring that hope is never out of reach. Together, we can create a stronger, more compassionate community where no one is left behind.
